"Awakening Of A Warrior"
Planet Ferella.
Koji's space pod crashed to the surface of the planet
Ferella. Minutes
later, the young powerhouse was standing upon a cliff looking
out over miles of barren landscape.
In the distance he could see a glint of light as if it
was being reflected off of something metal.
He lifted off the ground slowly, levitating from the
ground through a controlled push from his energy.
Carefully he made his way, taking flight towards the
strange speck in the distance.
He pondered what he would find.
"Strange," he thought to himself as he flew
along. "The
scouter's picking up on some powerful energy signals from up
ahead. There's
only four of them though.
I thought there'd be more of them for me to deal with
on this planet. Oh,
well. Maybe
they're off somewhere and they'll be back later."
Within moments, he closed with the speck in the
distance until he recognized it to be the ruins of a deserted
city. He noted
the signs of devastation and that they were fairly recent,
just not today. This
troubled him slightly, and he wondered about it.
"What's this?" he thought to himself once
more as he slowed his approach upon seeing the devastation
from afar. "This
place has already been destroyed! But by whom? It
appears to have been a recent attack, just not today.
There's no smoke wafting from the ruins for it to have
occurred within the last little while.
What happened here?
Could the energy signals my scouter is registering be
survivors of whatever caused this?"
He landed cautiously at the edge of the city, scanning
all around for any visible sign of anything that could give
him an idea of what was going on.
His eyes studied every sight closely and slowly, and he
remained immobile as he so scrutinized the ruins.
After several moments of this, Koji began walking into
the ruins ever so carefully and on full alert.
"Something's definitely not right here," Koji
thought to himself as he continued to eye his surroundings and
move cautiously. "Why
would Frieza send me to a planet that's already been
devastated? It
doesn't make any sense. Did
one of his lackies do this, or did someone else?"
Suddenly, his scouter registered several large power
readings very close by, prompting him to stop in his tracks
and stand perfectly still. Realizing the direction of the signals, Koji looked straight
ahead. Koji took
a defensive stance as he prepared for the worst.
Up ahead was a group of four aliens wearing Saiyan-styled
battle armor and scouters, and they were standing their ground
watching him. He
waited to see what they would do.
They seemed to be in no hurry to do anything.
One of them was a huge, hulking male, even larger than
Haruki. This
individual had grey skin and absolutely no hair, and his eyes
were bloodshot. His
muscles were massive, and he looked very vicious indeed.
Another of them was a short male with red skin and a
tuft of blue hair on top of his head.
He was stubby in build, and he seemed thrilled.
A third was an orange-skinned male of average height
with long white hair. He
was a "pretty boy" type, and he seemed amused.
The fourth was a Changeling like Frieza.
He looked exactly like Frieza in his first form, short
with horns and a long reptilianesque tail.
He seemed almost happy to see the boy.
"Frieza?" Koji called out to the Changeling
in confusion, thinking it might be the dread tyrant of the
universe. "Is
that you?"
"Frieza?" the Changeling answered
inquisitively, crossing his arms in front of his chest and
grinning. "I'm
flattered, but, no, I'm not Frieza.
My name is Tarboz, and these are my most capable men.
Mind your manners, boys.
Be polite and introduce yourselves."
"I'm Gnosh," the short, stubby alien with the
red skin said as he put his fists on his hips and smiled
evilly.
"I'm Kurce!" the huge, hairless, grey-skinned
brute snarled as he clenched both fists as if in preparation
for a fight.
"And I'm Trabok," the orange-skinned alien
said as he crossed his arms in front of his chest and smiled
sinisterly.
"Well, I'm Koji, son of the great royal elite
Saiyan warrior Shuji," the powerful kid replied as he
assumed a bold, proud stance, standing as tall as he could so
that he could appear impressive.
"We know who you are, whelp," Tarboz snidely
retorted with a chuckle.
"You see, when you roughed up one of Frieza's
boys, you managed to tick off Lord Frieza himself.
He contacted me and my team to take care of you, and
there's a rather large reward for your head on a silver
platter. It's
nothing personal, just business, kid."
Koji once more assumed a defensive combat ready stance
as he prepared for the imminent clash.
"Boys,"
Tarboz addressed his gang.
"I think we'll take this in turns.
Gnosh, why don't you take first crack at the little
rugrat?"
"With pleasure!" Gnosh answered cockily as he
assumed a battle stance in preparation for the fight.
"Get ready, twerp!
I'm gonna be cleaning you off the bottom of my boots
shortly!"
Gnosh began a drawn-out yell as he gathered energy for
the fight. Immediately,
he began glowing with an aura around him!
Seconds later, the ground began to shake slightly, the
sky began to darken slightly, and the wind began to howl!
Several seconds later, small stones began rising off
the ground as the ground began to shake a bit more strongly!
"You should be getting scared, runt!" Gnosh
shouted as he paused his power-up yell momentarily.
"Fortunately, it'll all be over real soon!"
Koji repositioned his feet, sliding one across the
loose dirt under him and planting both feet shoulder-width
apart as Gnosh began his power-up yell a-new.
Koji didn't seem to concerned about Gnosh's power-up,
but his scouter continued to monitor Gnosh's rising power
level. Koji
seemed confident still.
As Gnosh's power-up continued, the ground began to
shake violently, small rocks split, and whirlwinds of flying
debris formed around the battle site!
This continued for several seconds, and Gnosh continued
to yell! Finally,
Gnosh stopped his power-up and looked at Koji arrogantly, and
all the power-up side effects except for the glowing aura
gradually subsided!
"Are you ready to run, monkey boy?" Gnosh
asked the young Saiyan out of pure cockiness, and then he
laughed a bit.
"How dare you!" Koji growled as he tensed
every muscle in his body until the veins began to bulge in his
forehead and arms. He
began a drawn-out power-up yell of his own, and he immediately
began to glow. Seconds
later, the wind picked up as the sky darkened a bit, and the
ground began to tremble ever so slightly.
A few seconds after that, small stones began to rise
off the ground, and the ground began shaking with greater
intensity! Just a
few seconds after that, the ground began shaking violently,
small rocks began to split, and whirlwinds of flying debris
formed in the vicinity!
Koji's enemies took note as their scouters registered
his building energy. Gnosh
was growing concerned. Kurce
just seemed impatient. Trabok
appeared incredulous to see the boy's power.
Tarboz looked impressed but not the least bit worried.
Just a few moments later, the sky went dark, huge rocks
erupted out of the ground, the whirlwinds intensified and
strengthened, and lightning began flashing across the sky and
the battlefield radically!
Koji renewed his power-up yell as Gnosh appeared
extremely concerned now!
Kurce now seemed impressed but nonetheless still
impatient! Tarboz
chuckled!
Suddenly, Koji streaked from the place where he was
standing and flew right at Gnosh!
Gnosh was taken completely by surprise, and Koji
hammered him in the jaw with a punch!
The powerful blow knocked the stubby little alien
across the battlefield for a fair distance before depositing
him in the dirt for him to tumble head-over-heels across the
ground for quite a distance!
Meanwhile, the special effects of Koji's power-up
gradually subsided with the exception of the glowing aura!
Gnosh lept to his feet and wiped the blood from his lip
with his hand! Koji
closed the distance quickly and slammed a flying side kick to
Gnosh's midsection, knocking the breath, and a fair bit of
spit, out of the cocky alien, knocking him backwards until he
slammed into a pile of rubble and dispersed it in the impact!
Koji then released a quick flurry of rapid-fire
multi-shot energy blasts into Gnosh's position, throwing a
cloud of smoke and dust into the air that obscures vision in
the area!
"That's it!" Kurse roared like a lion as he
lunged at Koji to attack.
"I'm gonna finish that runt!"
As Kurse was closing with Koji, a figure streaked past
Koji and slammed into Kurse, knocking him down and back to the
place where he started his lunge from!
All eyes turned to see Shuji standing there between his
son and Tarboz's gang, and Shuji was breathing heavilly and
looking very angry! Even
Koji was surprised to see him!
"Why don't you wait your turn until your friend is
finished?" Shuji growled at Kurce and the others, his
scouter registering their power.
"Father!" Koji called out in a bit of
confusion over this situation.
"What are you doing here?"
"After I put your mother to bed, I went to one of
our taverns," Shuji explained.
"That lackey of Frieza you roughed up, he had a
loose tongue. He
told me what they'd planned for you, so I came right here!
I didn't have time to tell your mother or the rest of
the team, so it's just the two of us!"
"How touching," Tarboz stated with a gleeful
grin on his face to indicate his amusement.
"Two Saiyans for the price of one, eh?
This ought to be worth a bonus at least."
"Hard and fast, son!" Shuji muttered so that
only Koji could hear and understand him, and then he flew at
Kurce while he got up.
"Right, Father!" Koji replied as he flew
towards Trabok, prompting the evil orange-skinned alien to fly
backwards while mounting a defense against Koji's hand-to-hand
flurry of attacks.
Kurce got to his feet and turned to face Shuji!
Kurce threw a punch a Shuji, but the mighty Saiyan
ducked under the punch and hammered Kurce with a powerful
punch of his own, but the thunderous blow only barely managed
to turn the brutes head! Kurce turned his head back to face Shuji, smiling as if he
wasn't even phased! He
then clobbered the startled Saiyan with a looping roundhouse
punch to the face that knocked him across the landscape and to
the ground, where he slid in the dirt for a great distance!
Shuji sat up and wiped the blood from his mouth with
the back of his hand and grimaced in pain!
"Hold on, kid!
Give me a minute!" Trabok muttered as he struggled
to defend himself against the young Saiyan Koji.
Koji was relentless!
When Trabok finally got the chance to attack him, Koji
sidestepped the attack and rocked the "pretty boy"
fighter with a powerful uppercut that busted his nose!
Before he could recover from that attack, Koji fired a
point-blank energy attack into Trabok's chest!
The energy blast pierced the chestpiece of Trabok's
armor, shattering a large portion of it away, and ripped
completely through his body and out the back of his armor! As the blood splattered out of his chest and back, Trabok
spit up blood out of his mouth as he gasped in shock, horror,
and pain! Trabok
finally crumpled to the ground a senseless heap!
"This guy's like a tank!" Shuji thought to
himself as he dodged Kurce's frenzied hand-to-hand attack
techniques while thinking of what to do next.
"He seems capable of absorbing a good punch, so
I'll have to be a little trickier to defeat him!"
While he was dodging several punch attempts, Shuji
began placing little spheres of energy on the brute's back,
half a dozen in all! The brute never even noticed!
Shuji then punched the brute in the face, smashing his
scouter! As the
hulking behemoth roared in rage and prepared to attack again,
Shuji manipulated the spheres he placed on his back to explode
from a distance, blowing the brute's armor to pieces in the
process! The
explosion covered a fair area with a vision-obscuring smoke
cloud!
Meanwhile, Gnosh returned to the battle and began
throwing energy blasts at Koji, but Koji just dodged and
deflected some of them away with swatting blocks!
Gnosh was getting more and more frustrated by the
moment, but Koji seemed enraptured by the thrill of combat!
"Why, you little pint-sized punk!" Gnosh
complained in his frustration as he charged up a powerful
energy attack to use against Koji.
Koji responded by powering up an energy attack to
counter Gnosh's attack, and the two fighters fired their
blasts into each other! The result was that the two blasts collided and pushed
against each other with neither able to push the other back! The two fighters continued to struggle against each other in
the battle of energy blasts, each trying to gain the advantage
in their power struggle of energy waves!
As the smoke cleared over Kurce, the mammoth brute
staggered forward a few steps as if stumbling, and then he
collapsed facefirst on the ground at Shuji's feet!
The brute didn't move, and he looked very badly injured
from that attack! Shuji
recognized his success with a grin, then he turned to face off
against Tarboz!
"Very good, Saiyan," Tarboz said mockingly.
"So you've beaten a big, stupid dolt. Go ahead and pat yourself on the back, my friend.
You should enjoy your last victory.
Now you face me!"
Tarboz began powering up quickly, gathering a lot of
energy very quickly and moving through all of the special
effects that Koji did earlier within a very short amount of
time! Shuji
looked on in amazement! When
he completed his power-up, Tarboz smiled devilishly!
"Shall we begin?" Tarboz inquired mockingly
as he held his hands out to his sides in gloating fashion,
prompting Shuji to charge at him quickly!
The two fighters collided in a fierce display of
hand-to-hand martial prowess, and the air echoed with the
sounds of their thunderous attacks!
Shuji fought valliently, but Tarboz seemed to be too
fast for him! Tarboz
ducked under a punch attempt, slammed an elbow thrust into
Shuji's ribs that doubled him over, wrapped his tail around
the Saiyan's neck, and flung him to the ground, making a
crater where the mighty Saiyan hit!
Shuji pulled himself up, but Tarboz met him with a pair
of eyebeams that pierced the chestpiece of his armor and drew
blood and screams! While Shuji was reeling from that, Tarboz punched him in the
jaw, knocking him to the ground on his back!
Tarboz then stood over him gloatingly while Gnosh and
Koji continued in their energy blast power struggle!
Shuji sprung from his backside to his feet and rallied
against Tarboz with a flurry of hand-to-hand attacks, driving
the Changeling backwards from the fierce fury of the assault!
Shuji then sent Tarboz reeling with a powerful kick to
the head, apparently stunning him!
Shuji then powered up a powerful energy attack in his
hands and launched in at Tarboz, and Tarboz stuck his hand
into the path of the blast to intercept it!
The explosion obscured the area with a smoke cloud, and
Koji and Gnosh continued their power struggle while the battle
between Shuji and Tarboz was going on!
When the smoke cleared, Tarboz seemed unphased as the
smoke was wafting off of his extended hand!
He smiled at Shuji's disbelief, and the Saiyan could
not believe his eyes! Tarboz chuckled malevolently!
"Very good," Tarboz gloated.
"Just not good enough!
Your power is remarkable for a monkey, but I think I'll
show you true power! Feast
your eyes on this!"
Tarboz began powering up even more, and the sky went
black! All around them, mountains crumbled, the wind blew with
hurricane-force strength, and the ground opened up around them
with pits of boiling lava!
Small stones rose from the ground, and some of them
split in the air! Huge
rocks erupted out of the ground and exploded!
Howling whirlwinds of flying debris swept across the
battlefield, radical lightning flashed in the sky, and the
ground shook extremely violently!
Tarboz began glowing, and electricity crackled all
around and along his body!
All the scouters present blew up from the power he was
generating at that time!
"Oh, no!" Shuji cried as he struggled to
resist the power Tarboz was generating.
"We're doomed!"
Tarboz began screaming as his body began changing!
His form began increasing in height until he was at
least twice as tall as Shuji, and his muscles began to swell
in size! He became massive, and his voice became deeper in the
process! His
armor literally exploded from his body as his frame swelled in
size during the transformation!
Shuji backed away from the power of Tarboz's
transformation while the power struggle between Koji and Gnosh
continued within sight of this!
Within moments, all of Tarboz's power-up special
effects gradually subsided, and the then-giant Changeling
laughed!
"What will you do now, monkey?" the giant
fiend inquired in gloating, mocking fashion as he smiled at
Shuji.
Shuji fired a blast of energy at Tarboz, but Tarboz
just stood his ground unflinchingly and ignored the power of
Shuji's blast as it exploded over him harmlessly!
As Shuji is stunned by this sight, Tarboz fired a
finger bolt into Shuji's chest! The bolt pierced through the front of his armor and out the
back of his armor, splattering blood from his chest and his
back and causing the wounded Saiyan to cough up blood!
Shuji crumpled to his knees!
Witnessing this, Koji's rage swelled within him!
He screamed in rage, his energy aura swelling, and his
power blast increased in strength suddenly, overwhelming
Gnosh's energy blast and flooding over him like a wave!
Gnosh's screams ended mercifully swiftly, and there was
no sign of the stubby alien left after Koji's power blast
washed over him! Koji
then turned his attention towards Tarboz and Shuji, seething
in rage as his power grew! |
