"Chih's Valiant Effort"

          Chih assumed a fighting stance as he prepared to fight against Tarboz.  The terrible Changeling smiled at the prospect of destroying the Nameccian.

          "You won't harm my friend, Tarboz!" the Nameccian fighter growled as he stood his ground.  "I'm going to stop you!"

          "Oh, you're quite the comedian, aren't you?" the monstrous Changeling taunted as he laughed at the Nameccian.  "Okay.  Let's see what you've got."

          Chih flew at Tarboz with a fervent battle cry and launched a series of hand-to-hand attacks at the Changeling, but Tarboz managed to easily evade every attack Chih threw at him, laughing as he did so!  Chih struggled valiantly to hit Tarboz, but the Changeling was too fast for him!  Tarboz seemed to be relaxed and amused at the Nameccian's futile efforts to hit him!

          Chih then fired his special beam cannon technique at Tarboz, but Tarboz easily evaded that as well!  Chih then tried another masenko ball, but Tarboz had no trouble avoiding that one either!  Chih then tried a scatter shot attack, but Tarboz dodged each and every one of the rapid-fire blasts with apparent ease!  Chih grimaced in frustration!

          "I can't hit him!" Chih thought to himself in his frustration as he continued to launch his scatter shot attack at Tarboz.  "He's so fast!  It's unbelievable!  His power is so great in this transformed state!  I can't defeat him, even in my giant Nameccian form!  Darn it!  If only I had more power!"

          Tarboz soon grew bored of merely dodging attacks, so he pointed his finger at Chih and fired a finger bolt at him!  Chih was like a deer in the headlights, not fast enough to get out of the way of Tarboz's attack!  The finger bolt hit Cheh in the chest and ripped straight through his body!  Tarboz then powered up a kienzan disk attack and threw it at Chih, slicing off his arm at the shoulder!  Chih screamed in excrutiating agony as he slumped to his knees, reverting to his normal state!  As his purple blood flowed from his pierced torso and from his disarmed stump, he gasped for breath while moaning and groaning in extreme agony!  Tarboz merely laughed at this sight!

          "Oh, my!" Tarboz taunted with a chuckle as he watched the Nameccian crumpled in a near-fetal position on the ground at his feet.  "That must have hurt!  I'm so sorry!  Forgive me!  That was so rude of me!"

          Chih then pushed himself to get to his feet, trembling in the effort.  His face displayed a resoluteness of determination.  Tarboz paused to admire the Nameccian's strength and courage.

          "My, my, my!" Tarboz declared as he acknowledged Chih's determination.  "I must commend you!  Most fighters would've folded like a broken tent after what I've put you through, but here you are, rising to the challenge once again!  You have my respect, Nameccian!"

          "I'll settle for your head!" Chih managed to disgourge between baited breaths as he stood firm in his decision to fight on.  "Right after I do this!"

          Chih screamed for several seconds, and suddenly a new arm almost exploded out of the stump of the old one, and his torso wound healed almost instantly!  Tarboz watched on in amazement at that sight.

          "Well," Chih began as he caught his breath and recomposed himself.  "Are you ready to get started again, Tarboz?"

          "Well, you sure are in a hurry to die!" Tarboz said as he looked upon the determined Nameccian with a heightened sense of respect.

          A distance away, Koji began waking up from the surprise attack.  Groggily, he raised himself up to his hands and knees.  He rubbed his head as he looked up, seeing the battle between Tarboz and Chih.

          Tarboz began peppering Chih with rapid-fire finger bolts, wounding him repeatedly and continuously!  Chih screamed in agony as the rapid-fire finger bolts ripped through his body!  Koji witnessed this scene in horror!

          A short distance away, Taipan, once more in his original form, raised up to look at what was transpiring before him.  With baited breath, he retrieved Tarboz's scouter from the ground next to him and put it on.  He looked at Tarboz, and the scouter read his power level.

          "Three hundred and seventy-five thousand!" Taipan muttered in awe as he watched.  "In my monster form, my power level is only thirty-five thousand!  This new transformation he's learned is incredible!"

          Koji slowly got to his feet, his lip quivering as a result of the sight of Chih being decimated right before his eyes.  His horror began turning to rage, and his hair began to stand on end.  The wind began to howl around him, and small stones began rising from the ground!  The scouter Taipan was wearing began to notice the young warrior's growing power level, and Taipan was in shock at what he saw!

          "He's at one hundred thousand and still rising!" Taipan gasped between forced breaths and then coughed a couple of times.

          As Koji's power level continued to rise, the ground began to tremble slightly, the sky began to darken slightly, and Koji became surrounded by a glowing energy aura!  Tarboz began to notice the special effects and finally noticed Koji, and Chih plummeted to the ground just barely conscious as Tarboz stopped firing at him!  Chih noticed Koji's power-up instinctively!

          "Huh?  What's this?" Tarboz muttered to himself as he looked at the boy incredulously.  "What is that foolish boy up to?"

          "Koji!" Chih thought to himself as he gazed at the young Saiyan through blurring eyes and fading consciousness.  "His energy is building again!  It's unbelievable!  He has far surpassed me now!  What's happening to him?"

          The ground began shaking more strongly and small stones began rising from the ground!  Seconds later, small stones began to split, the ground began shaking violently, and whirlwinds of flying debris formed around the landscape!  Seconds later, huge rocks erupted out of the ground, the whirlwinds of flying debris intensified in power, lightning flashed across the sky in a celestial dance, the water of the nearby streams rose and parted to reveal the bare land beneath, and the sky darkened even more!

          "His power level is closing on five hundred thousand!" Taipan screamed in horror, getting Tarboz's attention.

          The mountains started to crumble as the sky went black, and rocks began exploding!  The ground opened up all around them with boiling pits of lava, and lava shot out of the bare ground between the parted walls of water where the streams were as the celestial dance show of lightning continued in the heavens above!  Koji then began to scream in incredible rage, and a golden flaming energy aura flared around him, but his hair was still black!

          "He's at one million!" Taipan screamed in horror, causing Tarboz to react with terror.  "His energy is still growing!"

          The scouter on Taipan's face exploded as Koji's power-up seemed to continue for a bit longer!  Taipan gasped for a moment in sheer terror as he lost consciousness once again!  Chih, in utter awe at Koji's transformation, likewise gasped just before he also lost consciousness!  Tarboz looked upon Koji's transformed state in disbelief!  Koji's power-up finally concluded with a golden flamed aura around him and his black hair spiking upwards, and the special effects subsided gradually!
