Trouble For Little Koji"
For several seconds, Koji and Fei hovered in mid-air in a
face-off staredown! It
was so quiet, one could've heard a pin drop on the battlefield!
A gentle breeze blew across the battle site as the two
fighters sized each other up for a few moments!
"I can't sense this guy's power level!" Koji
thought to himself, trying to figure this new fighter out.
"What's with this guy?!?
Why can't I sense his power level, or even his life
force?!? What is
he?!?"
"What's the matter, little man?" the hulking
brute taunted the Saiyan warrior.
"Don't tell me you're having second thoughts about
our little dance! I'd
be so disappointed!"
"Don't worry, you overgrown buffoon!" Koji
snarled in reply as he streaked towards the giant man.
"The only thing I'm having second thoughts about is
whether I'm going to bury you or cremate you when I'm
finished!"
Koji hammered Fei with a thunderous punch to the jaw,
knocking the big brute quite a distance!
Before Fei could crash to the ground from that punch,
Koji used his superspeed to zip ahead of the hurtling giant and
nail him with a powerful roundhouse kick to the back, knocking
him the other direction! As
Fei slammed through a building, and the building collapsed, Koji
opened up on the site with rapid-fire multi-shot energy blasts,
pummeling the site of Fei's crash with blast after blast as a
huge dust-and-debris cloud rose in reply!
Koji stopped blasting the area after a few moments and
waited for the cloud to dissipate!
When the cloud dissipated, everyone was amazed to see
that Fei was standing in the middle of all of that devastation
uninjured, despite the fact that his armor and clothing
displayed signs of battle damage!
Fei smiled annoyingly at Koji, astounding not only the
Saiyan but also his Nameccian friend and even the big lug's own
Makyoian battle team leader!
"Hi!" the massively-muscled brute said with
that annoying smile of his seemingly stuck to his face.
"What?!?" Koji exclaimed in abject shock as he
beheld the big lug still standing and ready for battle.
"How is this possible?"
"You're the man, Fei!" Taipan cheered from
across the battlefield, observing it all from a distance.
"This is bad!" Chih thought to himself as he
watched in horror. "Koji's
blasts didn't get the job done!
This guy's a lot tougher than we thought!"
Amazed but undaunted, Koji streaked towards the giant
warrior once again, and the big brute smiled as he watched
Koji's approach! As
Koji threw a punch at Fei, the big man sidestepped the attack
and hammered Koji in the midsection with a thunderous uppercut,
doubling the Saiyan over and knocking the breath out of him as
well as stunning him! Chih
was horrified!
"Gotcha!" the hulking brute replied as he noted
that his attack had stunned the teen Saiyan.
"Now I think I'm gonna teach you a lesson, kid!
I'm gonna knock you around a bit before I finish you
off!"
Fei hammered downward into Koji's back with a two-fisted
smash that knocked the young Saiyan to the street below with a
tremendous crash, forming a crater where he hit!
As soon as Koji managed to spring to his feet, recovered
from being stunned, Fei flew down in front of him and slammed a
splintering roundhouse kick into Koji's chest, knocking him
across the city and through a building, causing the building to
collapse and a debris cloud to billow up from the site of Koji's
rough landing! The
big brute laughed as he watched the cloud dissipate, and then he
saw Koji getting back to his feet once again, visibly in pain
from the brute's assault!
"Well, well, well," Fei declared as he mixed
his praise and admiration with sarcasm.
"It looks like the little guy's getting up!
He's tougher than I thought!
Looks like we're about to go for round two of Fei the
fighting machine versus the young, courageous monkey-boy!"
Grimacing with a mixture of pain and seething anger, Koji
stood fully upright, shutting out the pain from the punishment
he had received! He heard Fei and Taipan laughing at him from across the
battlefield, and it infuriated him!
He glared angrilly in their direction, preparing for the
next engagement with the enormous warrior!
Koji spat to the side as he cast his vicious scowl upon
his enemies!
"I don't know what you are or why I can't sense
either a power level or a life force from you, but I intend to
make you sorry you ever met me!" Koji growled with a
determined decree, his resolve steeled to the task at hand.
"You wanna know what I am and why you can't sense my
power level?" Fei inquired rhetorically.
"That's simple!
I'm an android!"
"Android?" the teen Saiyan warrior repeated,
the pieces to the puzzle now beginning to fall in place for him.
"So that's it, eh?
Well, when I'm done with you, android, there won't even
be enough left of you for spare parts!"
With that said, Koji flew at the huge android again, and
the giant brute flew towards Koji as well!
Koji suddenly changed his course, flying straight up into
the air and prompting Fei to pursue him!
"Hey! Come
back here!" Fei yelled as he gave chase to the young
fighter. "Where
do you think you're going?"
As if in response, Koji fired a large blast of energy
right at Fei! Surprised
as the energy blast registered on his scouter, Fei evaded the
blast by moving to the side, and then he watched the blast go by
and hit the ground below! The
blast exploded like a small nuclear artillery shell!
When Fei turned his attention back to Koji, Koji was
right in front of him, and the teen Saiyan drove a fist into the
big lug's scouter, smashing it and turning Fei's head in the
process! Fei
responded by driving a knee into Koji's midsection, doubling him
over, and followed that up by hammering Koji in the back of the
head with a brutal downward-thrusting elbow shot, knocking Koji
down and into a large body of water on the outskirts of town
resembling a large lake or a small ocean!
He watched the water for signs of Koji, but Koji did not
surface!
"Nice little trick there, monkey boy!" the
hulking android said as he waited for Koji to show himself.
"Now come on out of there so we can finish this
right now!"
Fei watched for several moments, but there was no sign of
Koji. He descended
towards the surface of the water to get a better look, but still
he could not see the Saiyan. As
he got right over the water's surface, he he turned himself
horizontal to look into the water.
Suddenly, Koji erupted out of the water as if fired from
a cannon and plowed right into Fei's midsection, doubling him
over and stunning him! Continuing with his momentum, Koji drove the android skyward
for a great distance with that maneuver!
Koji then began peppering the android with a blindingly
fast flurry of punches to the head and torso, unleashing his
fury upon the brute with tremendous speed, power, and accuracy!
After a few moments of taking that abuse, Fei responded
by fighting back, and the two fighters were engaged in an
intense exchange of attacks and counterattacks for a couple of
minutes as their friends watched from below!
Now, neither fighter was hitting the other, but both were
taking the fight much more seriously than before!
"Look at him!" Chih thought to himself while
watching his friend fight far below.
"He just adamantly refuses to give up or accept
defeat! He won't
fold his tent until that big lug puts him down for the count,
but, now that he's destroyed the big lug's scouter, at least he
stands a better chance against him!
You've evened up the odds, and now it's time to show them
what a great warrior you really are, Koji!"
"This kid really is something!" Taipan thought
to himself as he watched the fight as well.
"There's no way to tell just what Fei's power level
is, but the monkey's really giving him a run for his money!
I have to tip the hat to that kid!
He may be a monkey, but he's a real scrapper!"
After a couple of minutes of stalemated fighting, Fei
nailed Koji with a left-fisted punch to the face, bruising his
cheek and turning his head!
Fei followed that up by pounding Koji with a big haymaker
punch to the face with his right fist this time, not only
turning his head and bruising his cheek but also splitting his
lip and knocking him to the ground where he made a crater!
"You put up a game fight, little monkey, but you
just don't stand a chance against me!" Fei taunted as he
hovered in the air watching Koji.
Koji stood back to his feet, spat to the side, and wiped
the blood from his lip with the back of his fist before looking
up towards Fei. He noted the obnoxious grin on his face with contempt.
Koji then unfastened his cape from his armor, and only
Chih was not confused by this move.
"That's right!" Chih thought to himself while
observing this with great pride and anticipation.
"Show them what you're really made of!"
Taipan and Fei watched as Koji tossed the cape aside
nonchalantly! The
cape fell to the ground with a loud thud, getting the attention
of the two enemy fighters and bewildering them.
Chih chuckled under his breath as he smiled.
"I think I can dispense with the weighted
cape," Koji said, astounding the android and his Makyoian
leader. "Now
how about round three?" |
