This episode begins with Trunks who is now fully ascended to fight Cell. Cell and Trunks both know that Trunks is the stronger one, but for someone reason Cell can't even touch Trunks. Cell keeps beating on Trunks, and Trunks can't understand why. Back in the hyperbolical time chamber Gohan keeps training until Goku tells Gohan to watch him. Goku goes Super Saiyan and then powers up to the ascended level. Gohan thinks that now Cell is unstoppable, but Goku realizes a weakness from this new level.... Krillan takes Vegeta to an island, and Vegeta wakes up when Krillan gives him the senzu bean he received from Trunks. Right when Vegeta wakes up he goes towards Cell to fight and Krillan follows. Back at the chamber, Goku, tells Gohan that the muscles he has in this new level are just too bulky and he wont be able to move fast enough to catch Cell. He also tells Gohan that the transformation of a super Saiyan wastes a lot of energy and their energy keeps falling as they stay in that level. Now the two Saiyans actually do something that makes sense! Goku tells Gohan to try to stay as a super Saiyan for the whole day and keep doing that so that the feeling of being a super Saiyan becomes natural and doesn't waste energy. This way they might stand a chance against Cell without transforming to the very slow ascended Saiyan. Trunks realizes something that Vegeta realized a long time ago; He is too slow in his new form so he tells Cell that he may as well just kill him. Instead Cell asks how Trunks got his new power in such a sort time, he also asks if he had more time he could get stronger. Trunks said probably. Cell asks where Goku is and Trunks says he is training to fight Cell. Cell tells Trunks that a long time ago on Earth there were martial arts tournaments and he wants to revive the tournament. He tells Trunks he has 10 days to round up all the warriors he can to try to take down Cell and that he will here about the location of this tournament on TV. Picollo hear about this and so does Tien (I can't stop wondering, especially since Piccolo is supposed to be some kind of super Namek, why Tien and Piccolo won't leave Kami's lookout to help Trunks instead they just stand there like morons).
