This episode begins with the battle of Cell and Vegeta.  Cell is amazed at Vegeta's power and asks, "how did you become so strong, in the future I come from you were killed by Android 17?" and Vegeta says "I do pushups and drink my juice."  This makes Cell very angry and he tries to use Galet Gun on Vegeta but it doesn't hut Vegeta at all.  As the battle continues, Tien and Piccolo are wondering whether they can trust Vegeta.  In the hyperbolical time chamber Gohan has a dream of almost making it to the level of Super Saiyan and when he wakes up he wakes up and starts training with Goku.  Meanwhile at Kame House Chaoiutzu is very worried about Tien, while the others are just relaxing.  Meanwhile back at the battle with Cell and Vegeta, the battle goes underwater where Cell kills a fish that he thinks is Vegeta.  Vegeta comes out of nowhere and fires a blast at Cell which knocks him out of the water.  Cell keeps asking Vegeta how he got this strong but Vegeta won't tell him.  Vegeta also notifies that he is just playing with Cell and he never stood a chance since Trunks is also extremely powerful and that he is Vegeta's son.  Cell says that Vegeta, since he is a Saiyan should allow Cell to absorb 18 and become perfect but Vegeta refuses.
